    Here, I will share you with a piece of good news: I passed the lab examination of 350-001.

    It is really the highest level of Cisco certification which is very challenging.

    I spent about 14 months on preparations for this exam.

    And I will share my experiences with you.

    CCIE examination has two parts:

    (I) Written examination

    In the process of preparing for the written exam, it is necessary to study books related to CCIE, eg:

    Routing TCP/IP Volume I, Second Edition、Routing TCP/IP Volume II、Cisco BGP-4 Command and Configuration Handbook、Troubleshooting IP Routing Protocols(CCIE Professional Development Series) and so on, and there are many books to consult. The people who are interested in this can find those books on the Cisco official network. I advise you to read the related books once or twice before the exam. While preparing for the written exam ,you have  prepared for lab.

    (II) Lab

    This is the most important and most difficult part in CCIE examination, which needs a large amount of time and effort, I spent about 12 months on preparation for the lab.

    The key for the lab is to practice. You should not neglect the theory, I advise you to review the relevant CCIE books while preparing for the lab, this will help you.

  • I passed the CCIE certification in October,2008.

    Here, I want to thank my families, my friends and P4S who give me a lot of help.

    In order to pass the CCIE lab examination, I bought some devices to create a small lab environment to practice.

    After all, the lab is to examine your practical competence, so practice is the best way.

    During this period, I used the P4S lab guidance having complete content, this greatly helped me to understand and study the knowledge. Here, I will remind the people who will take the lab exam must master the BGP technology, because BGP is the core of the lab. These people must prepare carefully without neglecting any knowledge point. When taking the exam, you should distribute the time reasonably and be more careful, because the examiner is very demanding, complete preparation and a good state of mind are essential.
