General Mills Achieves Financial Excellence With SAP

One of the SAP consumers, General Mills was given “Supply Chain Finance Project of the Year” award and also received “Gold Award”. The awards were sponsored by American bank Merril lynch at sibos in 2010 association with SWIFT.

General Mills is operating in more than 100 countries all around the world and is one of the world's leading food company. The company uses the enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution SAP.

SAP ERP, Enterprise resource planning Financials is being used to support critical financial processes including accounts receivable, accounts payable, financial close cycle and General Mills' cash and financial risk management.

SAP revealed to build a 13 million innovation centre in Germany for developing solutions in co-operation with customers and local universities.

SAP Application Associate has responded that General Mills has also been able to "manage risk and reduce the cost of compliance in the face of a changing business and regulatory landscape".
